We are growing residential building supply company in Bristow, Virginia and are looking for a detail-oriented individual responsible for multiple duties that include estimating, account maintenance and field work in our shipping office. The candidate must be positive and eager to take on multiple tasks.

Job Description

  • Field Work: Walkthroughs at all stages of framing, consolidating redlines/revisions specific to, wall panels, floor systems, roofs, loose lumber.
  • Relaying information back to In-House design team.
  • Account Maintenance: Updating, organizing, filing of plans, updating pricing, jobstarts projects in accordance to scope of work, scheduling of projects, verifying purchase orders and option combinations. Routine field and office checkups.
  • Estimating: Adjusting/adding options to various bids. Morphing bids in accordance to plan changes/additions. Assisting in and verifying lumber takeoffs. Creating window/door bid sheets and takeoffs.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years dealing with engineered wood products and building components ideal but not required.
  • Major in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related fields.

  • Ability to read Architectural and structural drawings
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment

  • Must be able to work 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Able to lift 30 lbs
